Rotomolded Desk and Storage Bag
Kids of Kathmandu is a non-profit organization aiding the kids of Nepal, building schools, providing meals and clean energy. Presented with this project, we worked in a team to create a set of products for children in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Storage Bag is a bag for trinkets, books, school supplies and personal to the child. The rotational molded exterior allows the bag to fit into the classroom desk, creating a desk storage area for easy access to the bag and an organized and a lack of clutter on the desk. Once done with class, the bag is picked up, closed and taken home by the child.
The Rotomolded Classroom Desk is designed to fit the Storage Bag, and an alternative to inexpensive and simple manufacturing. The desk can be deconstructed by sliding the two sides of the desk off, easily stacked, flat and ready to be shipped.
